An exciting update for a festive season this month, as I can finally introduce my upcoming audio drama directing project in more detail! I hope you’ll join our creative team for what promises to be an incredible journey, and in the meantime you can catch me working front-of-house at New World Stages, where we’ll be running at full capacity with shows in all five theatres throughout December.

Introducing Fireweeds
As I alluded to last month I am getting started with a brand new audio drama podcast, and we now invite you to begin following this journey with us!
During November I have been working on pre-production and casting to direct an independent podcast, which will incorporate original musical composition to tell a narrative fantasy story over a short season of episodes. Fireweeds is written by Regan Hicks, produced and composed by Sapphire Skye Toth, and returns to the fantastical world of Sapphire’s short film The City of Forget-Me-Nots. Following a disastrous confrontation with human civilization, the realm of nature and magic has restored and isolated itself. Its inhabitants have no wish to encounter humans again or explore the mysterious inner workings of their own realm – until the appearance of an inquisitive young dryad named Faye, who is eager to understand her place in the world. Her quest for self-discovery will lead her to meet wondrous friends and foes throughout an enchanting audio tale.
If you’d like to join the adventure, you can begin following the podcast today @fireweedspod! We plan to rehearse and record our pilot episode this winter followed by a crowdfunding campaign to launch the full season, and we’re so excited to see where this project takes us.

This month we wrapped up recording for my next play with Premiere the Play podcast, titled The Puck Project. We still have post-production to go and it’ll be awhile before the new season releases, but in the meantime you can check out the first three seasons wherever you get your podcasts.
My visual art offerings with Queequeg & Paulina have restocked for the holidays, with abundant choices of holiday and winter greeting cards and cozy knits now available in our Etsy shop!
